I found this great shop on Queens Street in Toronto in the Kensington Market area. This establishment specializes in selling specially designed hats.

Who are they?

Goorin Bros Hat Shop originally started in 1895 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by Cassel Goorin.  There are now twenty- three stores in the United States and two in Canada.

“The Vancouver shop has been open for three years,” said Elijah Yutuc, a merchant at this location. “The shop in Toronto has been open for two months. The headquarters used to be in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but now they are located in San Francisco.”

“Did you know the founder of this company used to sell hats he made off a horse drawn cart in Pittsburgh?” said Yutuc with a laugh.  “It is a family owned business now.”  According to their web site, Cassel's great grandson continues to run the business, making the hats inspired by San Francisco's rich artistic community.  Cassel's legacy can be found in the detail and integrity of each hat.  For over a century, the authentic character of Goorin has allowed individuals to tell their story without ever having to say a word.
