The wait is finally over for the millions and trillions of fans who were counting days for Mobile giants Apple to announce their next iphone product and operating System. On Tuesday Apple made an official announcement that their next generation mobile operating systems i.e. the IOS 5 coupled with its new iCloud service will be in the market from 12th of October.

Senior Vice President of iPhone software Scott Forstall did the honors of making the much awaited announcement during a press conference in Cupertino which is the Headquarter of Apple Inc. The operating system IOS 5 will be available to user as a free of cost update.

The senior vice president of Apple’s internet software and services announced the unveiling of new app called Find My Friends, which allows people the current location of friend and family, provided they have shared the information. This app is being hailed for family use as it will allow parents to keep a tab on the location of their children, as its special feature will prevent the kids from switching it off.

Forstall further added” Apple now has 500,000 apps in the App Store, more than 140,000 of which are for the iPad. In three years, users have downloaded 18 billion apps and Cupertino has paid out $3 billion to developers.
