DeNiro’s character in the Scorsese film, is Frank “The Irishman“ Sheehan, the labor union mobster who killed the corrupt Teamsters Union President Jimmy Hoffa. Sheehan was 6’4” and towered over Hoffa, played by 5’7” Al Pacino. Martin Scorsese had a wardrobe of Tom Cruise style height enhancing footwear built for DeNiro.
