Nothing can replace “Sex & The City” but we’re willing to give “The Carrie Diaries” a chance. Candace Bushnell wrote both Sex” and “Diaries” so we’re hoping for the best. “Diaries” is the prequal to “Sex” and starts with Carrie as a senior in high school in the 1980’s and follows her to Brown University and on to New York City as a struggling writer. This series however, is on the CW, and HBO and producerDarren Star are not involved. So it’s a tossup. But we WILL give it a look when it debuts in January.
