We’ve always had a crush on “Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller and it never mattered that he was gay. We’re not sure if it was common knowledge, but it wasn’t important. In 2007 we happened to bump into Wentworth at the Arclight Theater in Hollywood. We were giddy with excitement and remember that he looked very clean and smelled delicious. He was also very friendly and allowedBelissa Cohen to take the photo above. Six years later, the elegant and intelligent Wentworth picked the right time to come out – he was invited to appear at a Russian film festival and declined due to Russia’s anti-gay legislation.
Part of his letter was printed in The Advocate:
“As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes,” Miller wrote in the letter, posted on GLAAD’s website. “However, as a gay man, I must decline.”
You’ve gotta love him.
