Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was last seen in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s Pink, has completed 47 years in the film industry. Ever since his debut, Amitabh Bachchan has continued to raise the bar high with some incredible performances the film industry has ever seen.
In 1969, Amitabh Bachchan made his debut with Khwaja Ahmad Abbas’ film Saath Hindustani. Remembering those days and quoting the same, he wrote, “goodness me … 47 years in the industry for me!!” Big B also shared a collage from his first film on his blog and thanked Mumbai for providing him shelter and helping him build a career in films. He wrote, “47 years of my life in this city of Mumbai that gave me all that I possess now, that engulfed me in its warm and affectionate embrace, nurtured me, protected me, pushed me, kicked me, reprimanded me, raised me to heights and crushed me with my falls, allowed me to make a beginning with the first film in profession. I am eternal in blessings and gratitude to the Almighty and the those that became well wishers and my Ef for all that I possess in wonder.”
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently filming for Ram Gopal Varma’s next film Sarkar 3.
