The day and date of November 9, 2007, gave Bollywood a superstar actress in the form of Deepika Padukone, who made her smashing debut with Om Shanti Om. It’s the very film that went onto become a box-office success. Even though it has been nine years since the film’s release, it still remains evergreen in the memories of the cinegoers.

Om Shanti Om’s director Farah Khan took to Twitter recently, and made an announcement stating that Om Shanti Om is now being remade in Japanese. Farah Khan tweeted stating “Maybe a good day to announce on #9YearsOfOmShantiOm that it’s being made into a huge musical in japan!@iamsrk @deepikapadukone @rampalarjun”. She also thanked musicians Vishal-Shekar for the memorable songs that they had composed for Om Shanti Om, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles, besides Deepika Padukone of course.

Watch this space for developments.
