After scintillating sessions with the likes of Akshay Kumar- Twinkle Khanna, Ranveer Singh- Ranbir Kapoor and a host of others the latest episode of Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan featured the vivacious Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur. Though the duo featured together in a film that didn’t quite cut it at the box office, Parineeti and Aditya developed a unique bond that was explored on the show. But for those who missed the telecast here are few memorable moments that are certainty worth knowing.
New private language: Not many may know that post working on Daawate E Ishq, Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur developed their own unique language. Talking about the same on the show Parineeti said, “As per our language we try to use the biggest words possible to say the smallest things. Usually people don’t get it because of that.”
Reason why Parineeti Chopra is still single: After talking about the language they developed, the focus shifted to Aditya Roy Kapur’s numerous rumoured affairs and the reason why Parineeti is still single. While Aditya dismissed the link ups as hearsay, Parineeti’s revelations about being single were quite revelatory. “I will never date an actor, because for me I want a guy who loves me and is obsessed by me, not the other way around.” Further talking about being hit on by her co-stars a somewhat displeased Pari added, “None of the boys (actors she has worked with) hit on me. Besides I tend to friendzone them way before they even start.”
Depression and dealing with it: In the recent past we have seen quite a few celebrities talk about the time they faced off with depression. Revealing that she too was a victim of depression Parineeti added, “There was a really low time in my career when nothing worked, I was at my lowest career wise, financially and in my personal life. But I have a couple of friends who helped me through this depressing stage. And thanks to them today I can say that I am a much stronger woman than what I was.”
Aditya the honest buffoon: “Aditya has brought shame to his brother (filmmaker Sidharth Roy Kapur)”, revealed Parineeti while claiming that Adity is an “Honest Buffoon”. Talking about it Pari shared her experience while shooting with Aditya for Daawat E Ishq saying, “While shooting Aditya came up to me and in all seriousness said, ‘Pari, you need to lose weight’, after which he went on to talk about the shape of my figure.”
Katrina Kaif the principal: Further on in the show during the rapid fire Aditya was quizzed if Bollywood were a college who would be the principal. Sans hesitation the actor replied. “Katrina Kaif”. Talking about Kaif, Pari too spoke about the fact that she is actually scared of Katrina. “I am still scared of Katrina. I love her and idolize her, in fact her body is the body I want but I am still scared of her.” Revealing the reason behind being frightened of Katrina, Pari added, “She is like that teacher who students are scared of, one time I was on the treadmill and Katrina walk up and went, ‘How many minutes have you done? 20, ok 5 more minutes’, and all I could do was say yes and run another five minutes.” Aditya too chipped in saying, “Katrina has this straight face, you go up to her in full excitement asking if we could try something new and she will just turn and say, ‘NO’ with a straight fact. That just takes the air out of you.”
Varun Dhawan the attention seeker: When Karan Johar asked Parineeti about her equation with Varun Dhawan, the actress was immediate with her reply, “I have a love hate relation with Varun. He always wants to be the centre of attention and I am like no, I want to be the centre”. Further talking about Varun’s power to convince people Pari added, “Varun is so crazy that if given the chance he will convince the girls (co-star actresses) also to take off their shirts.”
Apart from these moments, Parineeti and Aditya revealed a lot more from Priyanka being the perfect older sister to what Aditya would do if stuck in an elevator with Katrina and Deepika. Besides this Aditya also revealed that Parineeti is extremely scared of snakes and that she judges people by their finger nails! On her part, Parineeti spoke about Aditya’s new found passion for dance when on the dream team tour, Aditya realized that he could strip and dance and the women love it.
