The year-end not just means the end of the year, but also the advent of many awards seasons. After the much talked about Star Screen awards took place, this time round, it was ‘Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards 2016’.
No prizes for guessing as to who won the ‘Kids’ Ikon of the Year’. It was none other than Bollywood’s eternal superstar Shah Rukh Khan! On the other hand, kids’ favourite pair was Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, who went to be voted as the ‘Best Pair’ (‘Kamaal Ki Jodi’ award) at the Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards. Salman Khan not just won the Best Actor (Male) award, but also his hit film Sultan won in the ‘Best Film’ category. On the other hand, the stunning Deepika Padukone won the Best Actress (Female) award.
Besides the aforementioned awards, the ‘Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards 2016’ also witnessed the hunky Sidharth Malhotra and the gorgeous Katrina Kaif performing to their hit track ‘Kala Chashma’, which was apparently voted as the ‘Best Song’. While Tiger Shroff was voted as the ‘Dancing Star Of The Year’, Varun Dhawan bagged the ‘Best Entertainer Of The Year’ award.
Speaking about the awards, Alia Bhatt said that she was happy to be part of ‘Kid’s Choice Awards’, which was the only award show of its kind that were centred around kids and their choices. She added that the energy and the entertainment at the awards were intense and being surrounded and cheered by kids while performing was an unforgettable experience. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan said that he had performed at various award shows but ‘Kid’s Choice Awards’ would always hold a special place in his heart.
