The chilling dialogue said with a masterful poise sets the tone for the ingenious theatrical trailer of Raees that was shown to select journalists in Mumbai a short while ago. Director Rahul Dholakia and superstar Shah Rukh Khan were present and informally chatted with journalists who unanimously gave an overwhelming thumbs up to the much awaited trailer. The film is based in 1980s and hence Ram Sampat’s superlative background music has the R D Burman feel to it.

Shah Rukh Khan is in stellar form. He is cool and calm and composed. He crushes his opponents with a ferocious energy, the immense hunger in the action sequences, the way the Look literally owns him and then he romances with a lot of pakeezgi. Raees looks like a career defining role for SRK. Dialogue by Rahul Dholakia, Harit Mehta, Niraj Shukla and Ashish Vashi is  the big highlight of Raees. The whistles and claps will be a deafening experience in movie halls.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a delightful actor and as Raees‘ bitter bette noire Nawaz packs in gun powder in his dialogues. After all the hype surrounding Mahira Khan, she delivers voluminously with her conventional good looks and graceful naughtiness. So you saw ‘battery’ written on SRK’s t shirt recently. Now wait for the promo to find out the reason for that. The apparition of azure fresh lady with ‘Laila o Laila’ playing in the backdrop makes you sit up and notice. One frame of Sunny Leone and the screen simply lights up. The song is going to be a bomb on the big screen.

Saboot le aaiye, aur le jaiye… Raees haazir hai. Over to tomorrow which is being rightly called as #RaeesTrailerDay.
