Earlier this week, we saw the release of the trailer of the Sushant Singh Rajput – Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta. While the trailer that featured two different time lines and civilization was pretty intriguing, it was a small part towards the end of the trailer that featured actor Rajkumar Rao that made viewers sit up and pay attention.
Though Rajkumar Rao, who was recently seen in the film Trapped, has over the years amassed his own fan following, his look in Raabta is something totally unexpected. In fact, Rao plays a 324 year old man in the film complete with freckled skin, tattoos and ear piercings. Revealing the same Rajkumar Rao released an image of his from Raabta saying, “And here is my Guest appearance from #Raabta.”
Interestingly, we hear that a special team from Los Angeles was brought on board to work with Zuby Johal from Dirty Hands Company to develop the look. Further we also hear that the film’s team did around 16 look tests before picking and settling on the current one. But it wasn’t just Rajkumar Rao’s look in the film that took five to six hours of prosthetic every day, in fact the actor’s body posture and voice modulation was also worked upon.
As for the film Raabta that stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in lead roles with Rajkumar Rao featuring in a special guest appearance is directed by Dinesh Vijan and is slated for release on June 9, 2017.
