Karan Johar once again takes a dig on Kangna Ranaut’s nepotism remarks

Karan Johar and Kangna Ranaut made headlines when Kangna called out Karan on his talk show Koffee with Karan for promoting nepotism in film industry. Then, a few days later, Karan Johar hit back at Kangna saying she needed to stop using victim card and woman card everytime. Since then, the two celebrities have gone back and forth taking sly digs at each other.

Now, in an interview, Karan Johar had a lot of things to say about how the nepotism issue had become the talk of the nation.  At interview, Karan was asked whether he has been literally nepotistic or sexist on his show. To this, he responded saying that wasn’t true at all. He felt like he was being attacked, like Kangna Ranaut was a missile and he was the target. Addressing the issue, he said that he was not being nepotistic or sexist. She had her opinion and she was giving her thoughts. Taking a jibe at her, he said that Kangna had clearly learned those 12 lines and had come to the show and they were wonderful. He said that he wasn’t criticizing her as even he learns his lines for any interview.

Praising her work, Karan Johar said that Kangna is an exceptional talent and he has always said that. Karan further added that Kangna had an opinion. After the episode aired, two weeks later, he was given a platform and he said what he wanted to. He further added that he did not know what to say to her on the show or what she had meant. He had never crossed paths with her beyond here and there. He said that Kangna decided to choose him, to make her point which was fine with him.

Amidst the nepotism debate, Karan Johar had even said that if the industry was so bad, she should leave it. When he was questioned about making this statement during his latest interview, he said that if Kangna had so many issues and she was still going on with other beats of life, he had just given her an option like she had given him on the show. He said that he had no regrets of being insensitive. Standing by his statement, he once firmly believes that Kangna is is an exceptional talent.

Lastly, Karan Johar added that he does not hate Kangna Ranaut and neither does she hate him. But, he also does not regret anything he has said before. He said that he might probably call her for his next party and he forgot to call for the last one. He added that he would love to call her because he has a great amount of regard for her. He clarified saying that Kangna Ranaut wasn’t attacking him. She was blaming him for something and he was defending the same.

All in all, we wonder what Kangna Ranaut now has to say about Karan Johar’s recent remarks on the entire issue.
