After almost seven years, Rohit Shetty decided to return with one of his most famous franchises, Golmaal, as he is all set to release the fourth instalment of the same, Golmaal Again. The film, that features Ajay Devgn in the lead along with Parineeti Chopra, is scheduled to release this week. With the trailer receiving a great response all over, the makers also decided to keep a screening of the same at the popular location of Times Square in New York.
Considering that Bollywood also has a tremendous fan base abroad, the makers decided to cash in on the same as they gave a sneak peek of Golmaal Again to Indian movie fans out there by screening it not once but multiple times between 2pm and 9pm at Times Square. Their idea definitely worked wonders and the makers were more than happy to see the tremendous response.
While we hear that thousands of people had gathered at the square to watch the trailer of the comedy flick, onlookers state that not just Indians, but foreigners too were present during the screening. It was also apparently played multiple times due to popular demand from the live audience who were left in splits after watching it.
A source close to the production house said, “As soon as the promo came on there was a gush of euphoria amongst the people, they were elated, laughing hysterically, high fiving each other, all in all an amazing response. People were talking among themselves about how they can’t wait to watch the film as soon as it hits the theatres. We are sure the audience will shower its love to the film from all quarters upon its release.”
Also featuring Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor from the earlier franchises, Golmaal Again has Parineeti Chopra playing the leading lady along with Tabu in a prominent role. The film is slated to hit the silver screen on October 20.
