In today’s world, the idea of dating and being in a relationship has undergone a change. Many believe that seeing someone and the dynamics in a relationship were simpler and easier before and today’s it’s become quite messy. It especially holds true for celebrities who are constantly exposed to glamorous and interesting people, thereby making it difficult to abstain for infidelity. And then there are other factors as well.

At the launch of Hema Malini’s autobiography ‘Beyond The Dream Girl’ written by Ram Kamal Mukherjee, Deepika Padukone talked about this aspect. But she also took into account the non-romantic relationships and emphasized how her success sometimes improved and even ended some of her meaningful associations with some people. She said, “While some of my relationships have become stronger over a period of time, I also see some of my friends who have distanced themselves. But I and some of my school friends have become much closer than before because we all make the effort to stay in touch and stay connected. However, a lot of people could not handle the success that came my way and they disconnected. I am not upset about it. That’s just the way life goes.”

She then added, “As far as romantic relationships are concerned (smiles), they are complicated because it’s difficult to find someone who understands your success, your passion for what you do and also that you earn money than them.”

On the film front, Deepika Padukone will be seen with her rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh, who is thankfully as successful as her, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Padmavati. It also stars Shahid Kapoor and releases on December 1.
