In wake of most high end clubs and hotels under constant scrutiny, even the common man bears the brunt and if there is a celebrity present at the restaurant, stories are immediately created. Vivek Oberoi was caught in one such incident a couple of days back.

Apparently, the actor who had just wrapped up shooting for the day decided to visit his friends at Mabrook, a popular restaurant at Sahara Star hotel. The eatery, which served hookah had many youngsters smoking when police suddenly raided the place. Since Vivek was present there as well, he too was questioned. The actor patiently waited for all the formalities to get done with.

Vivek even presented the police with a copy of his bill which had no mention of hookah and was let off by the cops soon after. A source close to the actor reveals that VO is far from any kind of vices, let that be drinking or smoking. In fact even before he entered the industry, Vivek was always averse to smoking and even joked around with smokers advising them to drop the death stick. Due to this, he has been appointed the brand ambassador of anti-smoking by the UN.

The actor in his defense feels that he can only let his work talk and try his bit in discouraging people from smoking but can’t individually go to everybody asking them to quit smoking. It has to be a personal call. Last heard, Sahara Star even sent a letter of apology to the actor due to the inconvenience caused.
