Weekly Worst Dressed: Rani Mukerji, Banita Sandhu and Ileana D’Cruz make some unflattering style choices!

In this fast paced world where fashion is an instant language to connect, style has numerous representations. The tinsel town too has awakened to imbibe this sentiment and be the finest representations of the rising brigade of fashion stylists. However, in an experimental bid to rope in all the vogues these celebs often end up locking horns with the fashion police. The weekly worst dressed list saw the inclusion of the perennial offender- Rani Mukerji, the newbie Banita Sandhu and the usually well-dressed Ileana D’Cruz. Promotional styles are all about picking up a style vibe and doing it in a way that’s never been seen before. While Rani Mukerji has refrained from taking a full-fledged plunge into the promotional bandwagon for Hichki, Ileana left no stone unturned to promote Raid. Newbie Banita Sandhu will make her big silver screen debut opposite Varun Dhawan in October.

Style is a form of self-expression but doing it subtly and effectively is an art mastered by few but attempted by many. Here is a closer look at this week’s unflattering style fest.

Rani Mukerji

Going casual with a black printed tee teamed with faded black denim and black boots, Rani sported minimal makeup and soft waves. A tad boring look, Rani seems stuck in the early 2000s style trend. (Also Read: Rani Mukerji takes on societal discriminations in her special music video, Oye Hichki)

Snapped at the airport, Rani sported a longline lace-up top with knee ripped faded denim and Fendi sneakers. Oversized glasses, watch and barely-there makeup with open hair rounded out her look. Giving us yet another boring look, we wish Rani hired a fashion stylist or fire her current one- ASAP!

Banita Sandhu

Styled by Rahul Vijay, Banita sported an off the runway look from the brilliant Spring 2018 RTW collaboration of Tommy Hilfiger x Gigi Hadid featuring a camel coloured coat and high waist short pants. She teamed the look with a white tank top and electric blue high boots from Mulberry. Pulled back hair and barely-there makeup topped off her look. A horrible clash of colours, we wish Banita had opted for some other vibrant coloured boots to add that edgy vibe to her otherwise laid-back look.

Ileana D’Cruz

Styled by Sanam Ratansi, Ileana sported a Shriya Som floral cutwork trench coat and teamed it with earrings from Azotiique, strappy sandals, subtle makeup and loose waves. An unflattering choice, this dress fails to blend in with Ileana’s persona. (Also Read: Did Ileana D’Cruz just confirm that she is married?)

In yet another promotional look for Raid, Ileana wore a Two Point Two co-ord slouchy fit set featuring a checked cutwork on a long blazer with belt and wide bottom pants. A delicate layered necklace and strappy open sandals with subtle makeup and sleek open hair topped off her look. A frumpy look that’s unflattering to the T, the usually well-dressed Ileana failed to woo us with this look.
