Sushant Singh Rajput has found his girl and we can’t keep calm. So, casting director Mukesh Chabbra took to Twitter to announce that this leggy lass has been finalised for the Hindi remake of a Hollywood blockbuster The Fault In Our Stars. He wrote, “Happy to announce that the talented and beautiful @SanjanaSanghi96 will be co-starring alongside @itsSSR in my debut directorial project #TheFaultInOurStars produced by @foxstarhindi & music by the master @arrahman.” Now, by the looks of it, Chabbra has put a dream team together, indeed. One look at the leading lady and one gets a feeling of familiarity. As it turns out, Sanghi is not new a fresher and certainly not new to the shutterbugs and the world of films. An established model and actress, she is based out of Delhi and has already made a mark in the world of showbiz even before her first film is out. Here is everything you need to know about this talented actress.
1. Sanghi made a debut with Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar as she played a younger Nargis Fakhri. She was barely a teenager then but made an impressionable mark with her screen presence and acting. Mukesh who cast her then recalled to a tabloid that he knew she was a star even back then and had made sure to cast her in an appropriate role in a feature film as a full-fledged Hindi film heroine.
2. Sanjana played the effervescent Katty in Fukrey Returns. She is both funny and cute in the bearing of Katty! In Hindi Medium, she played a younger version of lead actress Saba Qamar and had a whole song, ‘Hoor’, dedicated to her in the introductory scene. She makes up for a quintessential romantic heroine, this song is a proof.
3. She is a pass out of Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi and was born on September 2, 1996. She is trained in Jazz & Kathak and has some experience in theatre.
4. She is a successful model and has been a face of Vodafone (Made For You) Offers, Tanishq Jewellery, Subway Sandwiches, L&T Financial Services and Dabur Almond Hair Oil.
5.A well rounded personality, she also is passionate about writing. She has worked as a sub-Editor At The Saltlist and done her internship at various new age media outlets – Indian Watchdog & Youth Ki Awaaz
