Priyanka Chopra, who is ridding high after two back to back successes, was honoured with the Punjabi Icon Award on Sunday night at the Shanmukhananda Hall in central Mumbai.

Besides PC, veteran actor Om Puri, cricketer Navjot Singh Siddhu, Lalit Group of Hotels chief Jyotsna Suri, Delhi-based legal luminary Vijay Sondhi and Dubai-based philanthropist S.P. Oberoi were also conferred with the Punjabi Icons Award.

The winners were selected on the basis of their sterling contribution in their respective fields.

The Governor of Pondicherry, Iqbal Singh was the chief guest at the function. Mumbai MP Eknath Gaikwad and actors Sonu Sood, Dolly Bindra, Geeta Basra, singer Sukhwinder were amongst those who attended the event.

The event also had performances by Punjabi pop singer Harbhajan Maan, singer Satinder Satti and the celebrity comedian Kapil Sharma.
