While both his daughters like to work behind the camera, their father and megastar Rajinikanth continues to rule the big screen. Amidst his busy work schedule with two of his major works in the pipeline, the proud grandfather attended a grand yet private birthday celebration of his grandson Ved during this weekend.

Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya too was thrilled for her son’s third birthday. Besides her, the entire family was seen in a mood for celebrations. Furthermore, they were all excited to spend time and enjoying the antics of the birthday boy Ved.

Besides a cake cutting ceremony which featured a fun themed cake for the three year old, we hear there was also some [temporary] tattoo corner and other intriguing elements that were a part of the birthday celebrations. Soundarya Rajinikanth took to Twitter to share glimpses of Ved’s birthday bash. In fact, one of the pictures of the mother-son duo also has a beautiful caption that read, “3 years ago an angel came into my life !!! My miracle my #babyboy #VedKrishna #HappyBirthday baby #May6.”

It is being said that Rajinikanth was in the US last week for a health check-up. If these reports are to be believed, he returned to Chennai this weekend to specifically attend the birthday bash of his grandson Ved.

For the uninitiated, Soundarya Rajinikanth ventured into the film industry as a graphic designer and went on to make the Deepika Padukone starrer animated film Kochadaiiyan. On the other hand, she has also turned director as well as producer. Her recent production includes Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 which also starred Kajol in a lead role.
