Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar are confirmed to play main leads in Karan Johar’s next and we can’t keep calm. Bebo starts shooting by the end of the year. We had told you first that apart from Kareena and Akshay, there is going to be another couple who would play important characters in the film. Our well-placed sources close to the project have let out an important detail pertaining to the project. So, we hear that Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao might be the shortlisted actors to play the second couple!
There was a contention that Kartik Aaryan and Dhadak girl Janhvi Kapoor were supposed to play second lead. But looks like that has not worked out too well and they are out from the project, paving a way to the supremely talented Rajkummar and Bhumi. It sure is an interesting pairing and we hope that this news is true! Both Rajkummar and Bhumi are powerhouses of talent and they would sure add a lot of value to the movie.
The movie is going to be about two couples in modern relationships. Kareena and Akshay will play an older couple who are trying to have a child. Karan wanted a senior actor to be cast opposite Kareena and given the chemistry he shares with Kareena, he was an obvious choice. Bebo-Akshay is to share screen space after a span of nine years in a full-fledged film. Kareena did a special song for him in Gabbar Is Back but this will be their first feature film after Kambakkht Ishq. Interestingly, Akshay is currently shooting for another Karan Johar movie, Kesari.
Kareena, on the other hand, is in great place with her film Veere Di Wedding getting a smashing first day opening at the box office!
