The days of celebrities going about their shenanigans without a care about their appearances are long gone. The rising brigade of fashion stylists and bloggers have taken the onus of educating us a thing or two on all that’s in vogue and all that’s not! These days, celebrities stride with an enviable flair of elegance. While their styles inspire us to be their sartorial high-end twins or to create a signature look, the best and worst dressed list serves as a guide. This week saw the best dressed list brimming with some classic style play – Priyanka Chopra in stripes, Mouni Roy in an embellished saree, Janvi Kapoor in a sleek dress. Aditi Rao Hydari wowed us with her ethereal avatar. Mahira Khan dazzled us with her colourful avatar. Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi failed to impress this week and landed in the worst dressed category.
While personal style is either organic or acquired, fashion stylists aid these B-town celebrities in their shenanigans. Here is a closer look at who wore what this week.
Best Dressed – Priyanka Chopra
Styled by Ami Patel, Priyanka played with bold and subtle stripes; teaming Fendi separates – a straight off the runway look. Eartops from Azotiique and rings from Angana Nanavaty were perfect accompaniments. Strappy sandals, textured hair, courtesy hair stylist Florian Hurel and nude makeup, courtesy makeup artist Mickey Contractor rounded out her look.

Best Dressed – Mahira Khan
Mahira sported a quirky, bright and colourful ensemble by Pakistan’s luxury pret label by Sana Safinaz. Blue strappy sandals, sunnies and blue earrings from Outhouse were the only accessories of choice. She topped off the look with side-parted wind kissed sleek hair left open and a minimal makeup featuring coral-tinted lips.
Best Dressed – Mouni Roy
Styled by Rishika Devnani, Mouni wore an embellished saree from Jade with jhumkas from Curio Cottagefor the music launch of her upcoming movie Gold. Subtle makeup and a textured updo rounded out her look.
Best Dressed – Janhvi Kapoor
Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Janhvi Kapoor promoted Dhadak and unveiled the July/August issue of Harper’s Bazaar with her co-star Ishaan Khatter. Matching pumps, hoops, bright lips and blushed cheeks with a high ponytail rounded out her look.
Worst Dressed – Huma Qureshi
As a celebrity judge for India’s Best Draamebaaz, Huma who was styled by Mohit Rai, teamed a printed halter dress and shirt from Hemant and Nandita. Beige pumps, slick hair and subtle makeup of winged eyes rounded out her look. The blouse failed to work with the catchy print and we wish Huma had stuck to only one statement-making element.
