Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Pakistani singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar is slated to receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy award for upcoming male talent, on May 3. Ali who made his Bollywood debut in 2010 with Tere Bin Laden, which turned out to be a surprise hit at the box office followed it up with YRF's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan alongside Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan and London Paris New York. Ali's performance in all three films have been highly appreciated by the critics as well as the audience.

Ali has specially come down to Mumbai to collect the award. He tweeted, "At loss of words for the honour I have been considered worthy of. Just landed Mumbai from Dubai to receive the award."

The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India's highest award in cinema given annually by the Government of India for lifetime contribution to Indian cinema and is held annually on Dada Saheb Phalke Jayanti.
