It’s often said that fashion and style are synonymous, yet so distinct. What influences fashion are the seasonal trends, style is personal, innate and/or acquired with experimentation. A rising brigade of fashion stylists works tirelessly to create new styles or recreate classic styles with contemporary twists. This week saw the likes of Kangana Ranaut, Diana Penty, Yami Gautam and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Kangana’s sublime saree, Diana Penty aced the promotional style for Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. Yami Gautam floored us with her snazzy #VacayStyle. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra’s emerald green ensemble, Sonakshi Sinha’s choice of strappy sandals and Shraddha Kapoor’s wrinkled separates failed to evoke a wow.
While some divas promoted their upcoming movies with a spring in their stylish walk, others graced events with their subtle display of style. Nonetheless, they gave us a sneak peek into their glorious #OOTDs or #OOTNs. This week’s style extravaganza is a mixed bag of some drool-worthy styles of your favorite celebs. Best Dressed – Kangana Ranaut
Kangana draped a light pink floral printed saree with a vintage Gucci pearl necklace. Textured waves, pink lips and deeply lined eyes rounded out her look.
Best Dressed – Diana Penty
Styled by Maneka Ramsinghani, Diana promoted her upcoming film, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi wearing Payal Khandwala colourful separates. A necklace from Apala by Sumit and Needle Dust juttis with subtle make and sleek hair rounded out her style deal.

Best Dressed – Yami Gautam
Out and about in Hong Kong, Yami who was styled by Mohit Rai sported rust coloured separates of a crop top and panel slit trousers from Lola by Suman. Cream coloured pointy toes, subtle makeup and textured waves rounded out her #VacayStyle.

Best Dressed – Shraddha Kapoor
Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Shraddha promoted Stree wearing an ensemble by Aisha Rao from her Spring/Summer’18 Forest Phantom collection featuring an embellished patch work lehenga in matching tulle sheer back blouse. She rounded out the look with chunky earrings, a nose pin, pink lips, kohl rimmed eyes and wavy hair.

Best Dressed – Neha Dhupia
Neha attended the trailer launch of Helicopter Eela wearing striped separates featuring a dress and a longline coat with black boots, sleek hair and red lips.
Worst Dressed – Priyanka Chopra
Styled by Mimi Cutrell, Priyanka attended the FICCI FLO event wearing a bell-sleeved bodysuit and sheer smock waist pants, both from Caroline Constas. Tom Ford shoes, Varnika Arora necklace, mauve tinted lips and wavy hair rounded out her look. We somehow expected the feisty Desi Girl to sport a crisp look, given the nature of the event. We were a tad disappointed with PeeCee’s choice of ensemble.
Worst Dressed – Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi promoted Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi wearing a Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna asymmetrical black shimmery dress with a sleek ponytail, minimal makeup and strappy sandals. We wish she had opted for a pair of sleek pointy toes; they could have elevated the look to a whole new level of wow!

Worst Dressed – Shraddha Kapoor
Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Shraddha promoted her upcoming film, Stree wearing separates from Saaksha and Kinni. Chunky earrings, sleek hair, a nose pin, black strappy sandals and pink lips rounded out her look. The crinkled fabric spoils the whole vibe of the look and looks a tad messy!

Worst Dressed – Ileana D’Cruz
For a press conference for Fiji Tourism, Ileana sported striped separates from Zara with a lace bustier. A hairdo with side bangs, gold earrings, nude strappy sandals and a subtle makeup rounded out her look. While the jacket only adds to the volume, the pants fail to flatter her frame.
