From an actress to a politician to being the AMMA for Tamil Nadu, the journey of Jayalalitha will now be adapted to the big screen. With biopics being the flavor of the season, this doesn’t come as a surprise. Interestingly, Vibri Media who are one of the co-producers of the NTR biopic, will also be producing this Jayalalitha biopic too.
On the other hand, it is being said that filmmaker Vijay will be directing the biopic. If reports are to be believed he has already started work on the same and has dived into the pre-production work of the film. Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brinda Prasad of Vibri Media too have been supervising the project. If that is not all, the film will be a multi-lingual that is expected to release in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.
Speaking of the casting, no names have been revealed as yet. However, it is being said that many names from the Bollywood and South industry will be a part of this grand film. Fans of Jayalalitha and South cinema have already taken to social media to put in their suggestions. From the current Filmfare Award winner Nayanthara to Trisha Krishnan, many names have been doing the rounds. Also considering the way Mahanati has rocked the box office, Keerthy Suresh is another actress that people are keen on seeing as Jayalalitha.
Also, the Bollywood actress’ name which is doing the rounds is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. And there is more reason than it being just an audience suggestion. When Jayalalitha visited the chat show hosted by Simi Grewal in Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, the actress turned politician was asked whom would she like to see playing herself. The politician had then replied Aishwarya Rai. The said video has resurfaced on the internet after the news of the biopic went viral. Here’s the glimpse:

The makers are keen on launching the first look of the Jayalalitha biopic in 2019 on the occasion of her birth anniversary on February 24, 2019. The actress turned politician passed away on December 5, 2016.
