Last year in September, Mahesh Bhatt finally confirmed that he will be returning to direction with Sadak 2, a sequel to Sadak. It will mark the return of the original lead pair Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt. The new pair will include Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. It was a major casting coup with sisters Alia and Pooja coming together for the first time for a film.
As Alia is celebrating her 26th birthday today, eldest sister Pooja Bhatt shared a lovely photo and called her the ‘magical one’. In the picture, both of them are striking a pose with their Sadak 2 co-star Sanjay Dutt. Giving a glimpse of what one can expect from the film, she wished Alia on her birthday. The captioned read, “To the one that makes us ALL look good! Happy Birthday magical one.. Here’s to much joy,strength,love & Sadak too! ???? @aliaabhatt ????❤️.”
Alia Bhatt is working for the first time with her father Mahesh Bhatt and sister Pooja Bhatt. After 1993 film Gumraah, Sanjay Dutt, who is close friends with the Bhatts, is returning to the Bhatt camp after 23 years. Aditya Roy Kapur is also returning with Vishesh Films after his 2013 blockbuster Aashiqui 2 which put him on the map.
