Arbaaz Khans car crushes elderly woman to death

Accidents due to rash driving have been on the rise in Mumbai city and the latest name to be attached to such an incident is that of Arbaaz Khan. However, the actor turned producer wasn't the one behind the wheel. In fact it was his brother Sohail Khan's driver, Dhananjaya Pimpale, who was responsible for the accident.

The accident which happened last night near St. Andrews Church in Bandra led to the death of a 70 year old woman who was crushed under the actor Land Cruiser.

The accident happened at around 11 pm last night when Pimpale was driving the car towards Arbaaz's home, when he hit the elderly woman Chandra Bala. The police said that they received a call at 11.30 pm from an eyewitness, reporting the accident.

The preliminary investigations showed the driver had not been drinking, but a medical report on his blood and urine samples is awaited. However, Pimpale has been arrested on various charges including negligent driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder, and will be produced in a local court today.

While on the other hand the police have said that Arbaaz Khan's statement will be recorded despite the fact that the actor was not in the car, but since the vehicle belongs to him.
