USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Exactly two years back it was a precarious situation for Vivek Oberoi when he had Ram Gopal Varma's Rakht Charitra – 1 and 2 release in quick succession to each other. That was expected since it was designed this way. However now that the scenario is being repeated for two different films – Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (KLPD) and Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story – Vivek is trying his best to ensure that there is no repeat of what had happened in the past.

Amit Chandra, producer of KLPD, understands the situation and empathizes with Vivek. He says, "I mean honestly it is not great for two films to release on the same day; it is not going to benefit either Kumarji (Taurani) or me. I have requested him that he moves on and hopefully he would. The problem is not just about the same release date, it is also about promotion. If promos of two stars run concurrently, that may confuse audience. There should be a gap between two films of the same hero. Moreover, in both films he is playing different characters so why not allow audience to come and enjoy both films but after a gap."

However, Taurani feels that since he announced the film's completion first, it was his right to arrive in theatres. In fact he was rattled when the producers of KLPD went ahead and announced the film in a celebratory event at a Mumbai mall.

"We were just about to start the publicity of our film when out of nowhere I heard the announcement of Amit announcing the film's completion", rues Taurani, "I had told earlier that we could sit across the table and sort it all out. However he didn't even talk to me and just said that I should move ahead. He wasn't in a mood to listen to me and today he has announced arrival of his film as 5th October. Yes, today we are fighting with each other and it has to be seen who amongst the two of us would budge from the stand."

Given the scenario, looks like the clash is inevitable, what with Amit Chandra declaring loud and clear, "It is a perfect date for me and I am not moving. I am sure Vivek will have a chat with Kumarji and request him to move ahead. No one wants a clash here."

"Yes, they (Amit Chandra) may have started promotion now, but we too would be beginning by month end. We just need a few weeks of some really intense promotions to get us going. We are not backing out for sure. Our posters are ready, the first cut of the film is in place as well and if there is going to be a clash on 5th October so be it", declares Kumar Taurani who is going ahead full steam on Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story.

One can just hope that Vivek brings the two men together and sort it all out before it is too late.
