The actress was coaxed into doing a Punjabi film by her good friend and co-star Jimmy Sheirgill who is producing the film. Incidentally, Jimmy has acted in and produced several successful Punjabi films. In the last few years, the market for Punjabi films both in India and overseas had grown by leaps and bounds.

Neha's debut film will also have Jimmy starring in it. Neha would be seen playing the role of a loud, boisterous girl who believes in romance.
