Tamil actress Sshakshi Chovan shot for Mumbai-based Goan designer Randell Gomes for a fashion catalog last week. The theme of the shoot was “wild and free”. The summer outfits and collection is based on a jungle look and is meant for youngsters and young adults and features comfortable cotton tops, unisex shorts, bustiers, cotton shirts, beach wear, party wear, and other colorful accessories like bandannas, scarves, etc. Designer Randell Gomes has launched a range of easy-going garments which he calls mall wear. Says Randell Gomes, “Youth spend a lot of time at malls – so I have introduced a reasonably priced cotton collection of informal western wear like shorts, skirts, tops and shirts – some of which are unisex for the young adult who likes to chill out in malls and cafeterias or coffee shops. The collection consists of outfits with bright colors and is very casual and chilled-out.”
Fashion designer Randell Gomes had signed on south star Sshakshi Chovan as his show stopper for a forthcoming mega fashion event in Delhi. Sshakshi Chovan will not only walk the ramp for Randell Gomes, but will also model for his bridal catalog collection. The deal is for one year, with Sshakshi representing Randell Gomes as his brand ambassador for various fashion shows and events.
Sshakshi Chovan recently completed shooting for a Telugu film in Hyderabad recently. The actress who is also doing a Tamil film titled “The Making of a Terrorist” based on terrorist Ajmal Kasab’s life did a test shoot for the film’s promotion recently.
Sshakshi Chovan has five films in her kitty, three of which will release this year itself. She is one of the most promising new actresses to watch out for in 2013-14.
