USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…After a hiatus of few years, Rajkumar Santoshi is now looking at getting back into the Bollywood scheme of things with a vengeance. While he is all set to release Phata Poster Nihkla Hero, he has already put together plans for his next, an out and out action film. The man who has been chosen for the job is Vidyut Jammwal.
"It was Vidyut's high octane stunts in Commando that caught Santoshi's eye. He was anyways scouting for a young action hero who had the right kind of intensity and body language other than just physique and ability to kick butt. Vidyut fitted the bill," informs our source.
For a filmmaker who has made two back to back comedies now (his last film was Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani), Santoshi was itching to get back into the intense dramatic zone.
"With the film, Santoshi is now getting into the zone of Ghayal and Ghatak, his two flagship movies that married action with drama and high emotions. In Vidyut, he sees a man who can roar and deliver a la Sunny Deol. He also likes the vulnerability that the young actor offers," the source adds.
While the film's script is being put into final shape before shooting begins, Vidyut has already been sounded off to be well prepared for the part. Vidyut too is enthralled with the opportunity since the film's core stage and setting allows him to go all out when it comes to action.
When contacted, Santoshi confirmed the developments. He said, "Yes, we are working on a script for a big action film. Vidyut is someone who deserves the best. People had been asking me to make something on the lines of Ghayal and Ghatak. This one is going to be it."
