Pakistan’s latest released most expensive film till date Waar is making a huge noise in the neighboring country. Along with Lollywood’s superstar Shaan Shahid, Actor Shamoon Abbasi’s performance have also been praised by Press and Critics.
The film raked in approximately 20 million rupees on its first two days, a record for any film released in the country. The film is a debut for director Bilal Lashari and is said to be the most expensive Pakistani film made at a budget of 2.5 million. It has caught the imagination and interest of viewers with its catchy trailer and action sequences. Despite of the film getting postpone for several times, Waar still managed to hit the bull’s eye with it’s right period release.
The film also stars TV actors like Ayesha Khan and singer Ali Azmat has been given an adults-only certificate by the Sindh Board of Film Censors. The Press in Pakistan and the entire trade circle are talking very high about the film and especially the performance of Shamoon Abbasi. Some also claimed Shamoon has over-shadowed Shaan Shahid in many of the scenes. Shamoon was earlier seen in films such as Bhai Log and Giddh.
Going by the statements from various Trade Pundits in Pakistan, It seems Pakistani Cinema has finally found it’s Rambo in Shamoon Abbasi.
