However, to his utter discomfort, he found himself at the receiving end of a practical joke. This was during the shooting of his upcoming film Sooper Se Ooper in a small town of Rajasthan. A crucial requirement of the film was to shoot in a seedy theatre showcasing a B Grade film and for that, he was forced to take with him leading lady Kirti Kulhari and actually spend some time in there even as the show was on.

"Don't even ask which film was that. After all, it could be anything from Sheila Ki Jawaani, Champa Ki Raatein, Haseen Jalwe or stuff alike. Kya farq padtha hai? The fact remains that Vir, who has always been seen in films that carry an urban flavour to them, had a taste of the real India when he had to step into an uncomfortable zone," informs a source.

What made it even tougher for Vir to keep a straight face was his accompanying partner Kirti.

"Naturally, Kirti had never been to such a shady joint before. It was earlier thought that they would shoot in any theatre and then cheat the screening with a B Grade show. However, to the horror of the production team everyone realised that in the solitary theatre in the town, there was actually a B Grade film running," the source continues.

Neither Vir nor Kirti really knew what hit them as a film like this was definitely a no-no for them, especially when there was a show actually in the running with real crowd watching it. In the kind of set up where even some metropolitan youngsters would think twice before stepping in, a female entering the premises was a strict no-no.

"Thankfully the theatre management understood the predicament and assured the crew that Kirti's safety and security would be taken care of," adds the source, "On the other hand, Vir couldn't help but chuckle as there were more ideas that he was getting for some stand up jokes that he could crack post this experience."

As for the actual film in the running, everyone is keeping mum. "Well, what happens in a B Grade theatre, stays in that B-Grade theatre," a cast member quips before signing off.
