It looks like slowly Marathi actresses are following the path of Bollywood drama queen Rakhi Sawant to gain attention and publicity. Recently a lesser known Marathi actress Teja Deokar was heard comparing her film’s Box Office business with legendary Alka Kubal’s movies.

Teja quoted to a leading Marathi tabloid that her films do more business nowadays. More business? Films such as Shrimant Damodarpant, Balak Palak, Duniyadaari, Time Pass are considered as money spinners of Marathi Cinema these days and unfortunately, All these films does not have Teja Deokar even playing a smallest part in them. Which films was Teja Deokar talking about? Teja Deokar starrer films are mostly produced by her mother Nita Deokar and the trade considers Teja as a B Grade actress of Marathi Cinema.

Teja has acted in B Graders such as Oxygen (Produced by Nita Deokar, Of course), Adla Badli and Dharpakad. And all of these films were a wash out at the Box Office without a trace. She did one film with legendary Alka Kubal called Hirwa Kunku which did a phenomenon business. Why? You are intelligent enough to  understand.

Alka Kubal however remained unavailable for any comments on this, But do we have a Rakhi Sawant in Marathi Cinema in the form of Teja Deokar?
