USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…I have decided to stop being vocal about my personal life - Ranveer Singh Climbing the ladder of fame with back to back films, Ranveer Singh is on high spirits with the victory of Gunday. After entering the 100 crore club last year with Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela, Ranveer Singh had a lot at stake with Gunday also being one of the first releases of the year.

After yet another successful association with Yash Raj, a thrilled Ranveer Singh however has a lot more to witness as his contemporaries have some meaty projects lined up for release this year. Ask him if he is insecure about maintaining his star position and the actor maintains his calm attitude as he replies, "We are all fine actors and liking one of them is a very subjective matter. What you may like I may not. So we cannot call it competition. For me, I think the biggest compliment and my USP is that I put in everything. You go out there and give it all every single time."

Gen Y star, Ranveer Singh has some commercial and critically acclaimed performances to his credit but his personal life has been a turbulent ride with the actor being attacked with criticism about his over-enthusiastic nature. Talking about his fun loving nature, Ranveer says, "You just have to be yourself. People are going to pass judgements whether you are high on energy or otherwise. I just like having fun all the time. I hate getting serious. I am always pre-disposed to getting attached or emotional. So I try and run away from it as much as possible. So people may think I am frivolous but that's not the thing. "

Known to be the ladies man, Ranveer has been linked to most of his co-stars from Anushka Sharma to Deepika Padukone and last year, the actor was in news for many wrong reasons. Ranveer who hasn't been happy with the focus shifting towards his personal life, says, "I wasn't happy with it and that's why I have decided to stop being vocal about things to do with my personal life. It's because last year at one point I realized that people only write about my personal life. Why are people doing that when the focus should be on my work? I am here to become an actor because it gives me great joy to be a performer. I never wanted fame; fame is just a by-product of being an actor. I never understood what it is to be a star or stardom. I didn't know that a chivalrous gesture like escorting a woman to a car will become national news. I was never prepared for it."

What made Gunday a success was the hype that revolved around the avatars the actors were pulling off in the film. But apart from that, Ranveer's recent red carpet appearances in funky suits have garnered a lot of attention. Ask Ranveer about his fashion sense and he says he likes to keep it out of the box. "It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I am too bored with the same black stuff. Guys have less choice when it comes to formal wear. I enjoy wearing these different kinds of suits. It's for my own amusement."

From being a stylish con artist to the Gunda of Calcutta, Ranveer Singh has experimented with roles and his next with Yash Raj titled Kill Dil will once again reveal a new shade of the actor. But what excites him more is to work with the man who is the inspiration behind his dream of being an actor – Govinda. "Yes, it's a surreal experience to work with Govinda. It's like a dream come true to work with my icon. And we will also be dancing together," says an excited Singh.
