Saudi Arabia is a country with no theater and cinema house and hardly ever appears in any entertainment headline. No entertainment is organized by Saudi government; however Asian Council General in Jeddahprivately arranges a film festival every year to entertainthe general public of Saudia.

For the first time, this year in 2014 films from Japan, India, Singapore, Brunei, Korea, Sri Lanka, Philippine, China, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan are showcased in the festival. From Pakistan, the film Ramchand Pakistani is chosen to feature on this auspicious festival. Ramchand Pakistani has screened on Saturday 29th March 2014.

Ramchand Pakistani is an Urdu-language Pakistani drama film directed by Mehreen Jabbar and produced by Javed Jabbar. The film features Nandita Das, Rashid Farooqi, Syed Fazel Hussain, Maria Wasti and Noman Ijaz in lead roles. The film is based on a true story of a boy who inadvertently crosses the border between Pakistan and India and the following ordeal that his family has to go through.
