USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Madhur Bhandarkar is all set to bring his next film Calendar Girls on floors. While its script is locked, the filmmaker is currently finalizing six young women who would be playing prime protagonists in his yet another hard hitting realistic tale.
"The auditions are on and one of the prime requirements for the girls is to boast of a fabulous body," informs a source, "They need to be bikini perfect because as the title of the film suggests, one of the core requirements for the leading ladies is to step into swim wear and other costumes that require exposure."
It is a race against time though since the film is all set to go on floors in the month of July. With just a couple of months left and the pre-shoot preparation required for the actresses who would be coming on board, Bhandarkar's team is working ferociously in finding the best of the lot who have a glamorous edge to them and can also act.
"This time around Bhandarkar is opting for relative newcomers," the source adds, "The film is designed as an inside account of what happens behind the scenes in the world of glamour. He doesn't want any of his actresses to be coming with any baggage or image."
This is for the first time ever in a career spanning 11 films and 15 years that Bhandarkar would be working with newcomers. His last four films had starred Kareena Kapoor (Heroine), Ajay Devgn/Emraan Hashmi (Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji), Neil Nitin Mukesh (Jail) and Priyanka Chopra/Kangna (Fashion).
"This is an exception though," adds an insider, "There is good probability that Priyanka Chopra would be the central protagonist in Madam Jee which Bhandarkar would immediately bring on floorafter completing the shoot of Calendar Girls."
Meanwhile one waits to see who the picture perfect girls are that make the cut for Bhandarkar's most glamorous film till date which is already arising quite some curiosity, courtesy its spicy title.
