And now that the dream project of the filmmaker has been officially announced, it is currently in the initial stages and we hear, that the director cum producer will not demand a fee for directing the film. Instead, he will have a share in the profit of the film.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be sharing fifty percent of the Bajirao Mastani's profit from co-producer Sunil Lulla of Eros Entertainment, instead of charging remuneration as directing fee. Though initially, it was only actors who demanded a share in the profit, now big directors are too following the trend. In fact, we hear that Bhansali is very confident about the fate of the film and hence he decided to take this step.

It is also being said that Bajirao Mastani will be one of the costliest films in Bollywood and a budget of Rs. 100 crores is being chalked out for the same.

Bajirao Mastani will depict the love story of Maratha Peshwa Bajirao and his second wife Mastani. The film will have Ranveer Singh playing the role of Bajirao and Deepika Padukone will reprise the character of Mastani. Priyanka Chopra too has been roped in for the film to play the role of Kashibai, the first wife of Bajirao.

The film will be shot extensively in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Ranveer and Deepika will start shooting for the film from February 2015. Currently, Deepika Padukone is busy with Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha along with her ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor and Shoojit Sircar's Piku starring Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh is wrapping up Yash Chopra's Kill Dil starring Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar. He will also be seen in Dil Dhadakne Do along with Priyanka Chopra.
