The 'repercussions' of the same were witnessed in the form of social networking sites being jammed up with the reactions from all the quarters and even a Kanpur based advocate named Manoj Kumar filing a case against Aamir Khan on ground of obscenity and vulgarity.

The latest update on the same is that, the Jabalpur District court has now ordered the local police to file an FIR against Aamir Khan, the film's director Rajkumar Hirani, its producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and also 7 others on a charge of obscenity. The next hearing of the case will happen on September 19.

Readers may recall that the Supreme Court had recently dismissed a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) which had sought a ban on the exhibition of PK's posters by reasoning that if anyone did not like the film, then, they should refrain from watching it rather than bringing religious facets in it. It also stated that these are the matters of art and entertainment, and that's why let them remain so.
