USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The nine day festival of Navratri has begun. And while most people are engrossed in the throes of celebrating the nine nights of dance, we hear that the mega production house Yash Raj Film has sent out legal notices to Falguni Pathak, Radio Club and other organizers for violation of copyrights. This comes after most of the Navratri mandals have been playing songs for which they have not acquired the required license from Yash Raj Films, Shemaroo, UTV and Zee Music for playing their music.

Apparently, the vigilance department of Novex Communications, who provide licenses to the mandals, found that a number of mandals despite the lack of a license were playing popular tracks like 'Tune Maari Entriyaan' from YRF's Gunday. Following this Novex Communications have sent them notices to make the payment or a legal case will be registered against them.

Though currently the notices sent to Kora Kendra Group, Juhu Jagruti, Rangeela Raas, Sankalp Dandiya, Radio Navratri 2014, Celebrations 2014, Wadhwa raas and others are warning notices, a formal complaint will be lodged if the perpetrators continue to play the songs sans acquiring a license.
