ReemaA glorious award ceremony was organized by AAM on Thursday 2014 where the Pakistani Diva Reema Khan received the American Award at Washington, DC. The award was given as an appreciation for her Pakistani television series ‘Reema Khan’s America’, a series which follows the 43-year-old actor as she set out todiscover her new country through the eyes of a Pakistani, testing stereotypes about life in the US and exploring what it means to be an American.

While receiving the America Abroad Media (AAM)’s 2014 Partner Award she took the lead by praising the hard work of Amir Khan who had been honored with the AAM award last year for highlighting social issues in his popular television serial, Satyamev Jayate.

Reema praised the talented actor Amir Khan for his utmost contribution in highlighting the social challengesof the society through his series. “Being a celebrity, he is doing such a wonderful job. I really appreciate his efforts and his work as an anchor of Satyamev Jayate,” Reema said.

She also added that “For the last couple of years, Indian films are being released in Pakistani theatres, which is wonderful. Now I am expecting the government of India to allow the release of Pakistani films in Indian theatres

Reema Khan has appeared in over 200 films and made her first film debut with Bulandi in 1990. In 2006, she made her debut as a director and producer with Koi Tujh Sa Kahan, which won the Best Film award at the Lux Style Awards. Reema also won two awards for Best Actress and Best Director.
