Starring Genelia D'Souza, this suspense cop drama revolving around the drug mafia, was a remake of a popular Tamil blockbuster directed by Gautham Menon titled Kaakha, Kaakha.

And now, producer Vipul Shah decided to make a sequel to Force titled Force 2. Though Force was directed by Nishikant Kamat, for the sequel the makers have roped in another director. Abhinay Deo, who last directed the popular thriller series '24', the Indian counterpart of the American series by the same name, will be seen donning the director's hat for Force 2. However, the film will retain its previous lead John Abraham.

As far as the leading lady is concerned they are yet to finalize the details of the rest of the cast. Also, it is yet to be known if the second installment will be a continuation of the prequel. John Abraham played a lonely cop in the previous film, who while investigating a deep rooted drug mafia, falls in love with the bubbly Genelia D'Souza. However, his life is turned upside down when the leader of the mafia decides to break John's strength by threatening the life of his loved ones.
