USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The new chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani of much-beleaguered Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) is determined to prove he is serious about doing his job seriously.

Sources at the CBFC say the censor board members viewed a staggering 5 films on Saturday to ensure there is no pile-up of pending films.

They will be viewing at least three more films on Monday.

Says a source from the CBFC, "On Saturday the panel viewed two Bhojpuri films Patna To Pakistan and Saathiya, 2 Hollywood films the controversial 50 Shades Of Grey and the new Will Smith starrer Focus and a Tamil film. At least 4 of these 5 films are scheduled for release coming Friday."

The CBFC is miffed by allegations that Navdeep Singh's thriller NH10 was delayed because of the censor board. This is just not true. The film was not submitted for censoring on time. Pahlajji has made it very clear that there should be no delay or postponement of any film's release because of censoring certificate. We've been given a thankless job and we're trying to accommodate as many films as possible."

Adds the source, "Pahlajji has also instructed the board to evaluate every film on its own terms while following the guidelines. However, the rules about abusive language remain unshakable. Cuss words and expletives won't be allowed under any circumstance."
