Akshay Kumar to charge 80 percent of profit as remuneration for Airlift

Inspired by the biggest evacuation process in the world, Airlift will see yet another new avatar of Akshay Kumar, who will play the role of an intelligent UAE billionaire.

Now, we hear that Akshay Kumar who will play the lead role in Airlift, will not charge a penny as remuneration, instead, he will share eighty percent of the profit as his fees. Confirming the same, a source close to the project said, "Akshay has many movies in hand but in Airlift he sees the potential. The film which will be made at a budget of Rs. 30 crores will be seeing a lot of growth at the box office. Hence, Akshay has decided to share the profits instead of charging fees as remuneration."

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Nikhil Advani and Vikram Malhotra, Airlift is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and it also stars Nimrat Kaur in the lead. It is slated to release on January 22, 2016.
