USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…A couple of days earlier, while the National Awards were being announced, everyone was happy, including Vishal Bhardwaj, whose film Haider went on to take home a handful of awards (5 in all). Needless to say that, his happiness knew no bounds. So much so, that he, in his press conference later, said that he wanted to dedicate all of his 5 National Awards for Haider to Kashmiri Pandits. He also added that, someday, he would want to make a complete film that's dedicated to the Kashmiri Pandits.

It is this 'dedication' statement of Vishal that seems to have irked the thespian Anupam Kher. He immediately took to twitter and lashed out on Vishal over his dedication. Anupam Kher tweeted, "While I congratulate Vishal Bhardwaj for National Awards but dedicating them to #KashmiriPandits genocide is such a fraudish thing to do." He further tweeted, "When was last time Vishal Bhardwaj spoke about d plight of #KashmiriPandits? He in fact humiliated us by doing dance of devil at our temple."

Speaking to a leading daily, Anupam (being a Kashmiri Pandit himself) said that they do not need his (Vishal's) fake sympathies. He added that, he doesn't understand as to why has Vishal Bhardwaj 'woken up' now while the fact remains that he had never spoken about the issue in the past. What also infuriated Kher was that Vishal showed the dance of devil in their place of worship. Kher, very clearly stated that he (Vishal) should refrain from making such sweeping statements (here on).
