USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Before every film in Bollywood, there comes a disclaimer stating 'No animals were harmed during the shooting of the film'. In all possibilities, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming magnum opus Bajirao Mastaani won't be having the same before the start of the film.
The reason? Well, even though it was unintentional, a mare passed away during the shoot of the film. As per news reports, the deceased mare was unwell and undergoing medical treatment when it passed away by colliding with a horse amidst of a shoot. Speaking about the death of the mare, its owner Pappu Varma said that the mare died a natural death by falling sick. He added that the production unit was really taking utmost care of the animals. The unit even had cancelled their half day's shoot after the mare's death.

Bajirao Mastani is a historic period drama based during the Maratha era and hence requires many horses for the shoot. The film is being made on a lavish scale with a set of palaces and villages being recreated to represent that era.
