USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…For a while now Karan Johar's Shhuddhi has been going through casting issues. Initially Hrithik Roshan was to do the film but dropped out. Later Karan had tweeted that Salman Khan had been cast for the film saying, "#SHHUDDHI will star SALMAN KHAN and will release Diwali 2016…..@shhuddhimovie".
However, the cast of the film has undergone yet another change, for reasons currently unknown, and will now feature Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead. Confirming the same, Karan Johar revealed the cast of the film on twitter saying, "And finally..SHUDDHI starring VARUN DHAWAN and ALIA BHATT…directed by KARAN MALHOTRA..@Varun_dvn @aliaa08 @karanmalhotra21 @DharmaMovies".
Interestingly this will be the third outing for the pair after Student of the Year and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Co-incidentally, it is also the third outing for the producer-director duo of Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra. Filming for Shhuddhi is expected to start immediately after Brothers that is slated to release on August 14.
