We are not into bull-shitting business we are confident of Hamari Adhuri Kahani - Mukesh Bhatt

Bhatts have more often than not struck gold whenever they have boasted of a strong woman protagonist for their films. Aashiqui 2, Raaz 3, Murder, Jism and of course Arth are a few examples of that. No wonder, when they arrive with their latest offering Hamari Adhuri Kahani, all eyes are on how the film turns out to be. After all, with Vidya Balan as the leading lady in one of her most emotional roles ever, the film is already in news. Moreover, since Emraan Hashmi too is reinventing himself with this film where he has a strong part to play, producer Mukesh Bhatt is supremely confident of the film striking a chord.

While the world is waking up to female centric films, you have believed in keeping women on the forefront for decades now. Guess Bollywood is catching up with something that was identified by you earlier on?
We have always been trend setters. Whatever we have done people have followed us. Whether it is supernatural or erotica or musical genre, people have followed us. We have always worked with lean budgets and we have a certain manner of working. Since we work like this, we can experiment with new ideas. Hamari Adhuri Kahani is one such brilliant idea that we are bringing on screen.

Guess this one is set as an emotional roller coaster ride?
It is a very different kind of film. Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a heart wrenching experience. Mahesh Bhatt has written a movie after 14 years while taking it up as a challenge. If you liked Aashiqui 2, you would love this one. I can assure you that for sure. Vidya Balan is set to walk away with the highest reward and recognition for this film.

Really?
Of course. See, eyes don't lie. I am talking purely from what I see. Tomorrow if I would lie to you then I would fall on my face. We are not into bullshitting business. Unfortunately most of our counterparts are into that business but then we are into film business. If I have made a film that I am not happy then I would very well tell you.
