USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The internet was broken on Saturday as numerous people took to social networking sites talking about the decision of the legalization of same-sex marriages in the US. However, there were a few with whom this decision didn't set well, and one such individual ended up irking the normally chilled out Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar.
In fact, a twitter user posted a rather snide comment hinting at Karan's sexuality saying, "#Rumors : @KaranJohar to get married soon in USA." Interestingly, Karan who is known to take such comments in his stride lashed out at the user rather vehemently saying, "It's so sad and disgusting when a major breakthrough movement is made into a mockery by some on Twitter!! Shame!!!"
As for the fact of the matter, while the US Supreme Court passed a judgment on Friday ruling that same-sex marriage is a legal right across the country, homosexuality in India still remains illegal after the Supreme Court upheld Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code in 2013.
