Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…On the night before Hema Malini's car met with an accident as she was travelling from Mathura to Jaipur, the Dream Girl, Hema Malini's husband Dharmendra was at a special screening of his comedy Second Hand Husband which opened this week.
The comedy turned into a tragedy as news reached the venue of the show of Hema's accident. A visibly upset Dharmendra left the show immediately. Speaking the next morning Dharamji as emotional as ever said, "I was supposed to leave for Jaipur this morning to be by her side. But she told me there is no need. She is all right now. Recovering from the injuries. Luckily it was not serious."
Dharamji is shocked by the way a section of the media has flashed pictures of Hemaji's injury. "I feel a little bit of sensitivity in the media can go a long way. It is not in good taste to show pictures of an accident victim with blood on her face. I am deeply saddened by this kind of intrusion at a critical time like this."
Dharamji is grateful to fans and friends for their concern for their Dream Girl. "Our family is blessed to be loved by the entire nation. As long as we have the good wishes of all our fans no harm can come to us. Aap log aise hi humein pyar karte rahiye."
