In the film, about gender reversal of stereotypical roles, Balki turns Kareena Kapoor Khan into a bread earner while Arjun Kapoor is the house-husband. For her role, Kareena is all set to prepare with a completely different look from the one she sports these days.
Says a source, "In Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjabi which she wraps up this week, Kareena is completely Indian, Punjabi to be more specific…salwar-kameez, jet-black hair, kohl-laden eyes, and loud prints. She goes for a complete 360-degree turn in her appearance for Balki's film. It will be a metro-centric character, no hint of Indian clothes Kareena will be dressed in chic subtle executive suites, as she plays a hotshot head-honcho of a corporate company."
Manish Malhotra will do all of Kareena's clothes for Balki's untitled film. "She will colour her hair into a chic auburn shade. Balki chose Kareena for the film because he wanted an actress with killer looks who would look convincing as a hot-shot working woman. Kareena fits the bill perfectly," says the source.
She starts shooting for Balki from August 1.
